Flies move over! – Wireless Field Day#6 is coming!

WFD-Logo2-400x398January 29th – 30th marks Wireless Field Day #6 and how I would love to be that proverbial “fly on the wall!”

However,  flies, move over!  Since WFD #6 is being live streamed, we can take advantage of hearing and seeing (did I mention for FREE!!) what is on the technical horizon in Wi-Fi and mobility technologies. Check out the vendor sponsors presenting at WFD#6 (http://techfieldday.com/event/wfd6/):

Wednesday, Jan 29 10:00-12:00 AirTight Networks
Wednesday, Jan 29 14:00-16:00 Aruba Networks
Wednesday, Jan 29 16:30-17:30 Disaster Tech Lab
Thursday, Jan 30 8:30-9:30 Plan Ceibal
Thursday, Jan 30 10:00-12:00 Cloudpath Networks
Thursday, Jan 30 13:00-15:00 Xirrus Networks
Thursday, Jan 30 16:00-18:00 Extreme Networks
(NOTE:  I believe all times are PST (Pacific Time – Silicon Valley, CA)

Then take a look at the delegates on the web site–it’s a “Who’s Who” of WLAN professionals worldwide!

Tech Field Days began in 2009 and come in four flavors (Storage, Networking, Virtualization and Wireless).  Stephen Foskett (Gestalt IT)  wanted to bring together IT product vendors and independent thought leaders in a presentation/discussion forum.  The amazing thing I have seen in the past is, vendors actually “listen” to the constructive criticism from the delegates and have  incorporated some of these suggested updates in their products and services!

Are you looking to stay on the cutting edge of WLAN technologies?  Then make WFD#6 part of your schedule this week.  There’s even a link to bookmark the conference in your Outlook Calendar (http://techfieldday.com/event/wfd6 — it’s right under the WFD logo).

And while you are scheduling this event, mark you calendar now (since Wireless Field Day is held twice each year…) for WFD #7 on August 6, 2014!
